Pick up Comedy Central. Drop every single one of the other unwatchable channels and cut my bill. Can't understand how you expect to receive another $1 billion of the awful stuff they broadcast.

This is only going to end up hurting viacom in the long run. They've effectively cut out 20 million americans from viewing their channels, which means they also aren't viewing their advertisements.

Advertisers aren't going to continue to pay them the same rates that they were previously to advertise to 20 million less people. So they're losing money there. Not to mention for everyday DirecTV doesn't carry them, Viacom loses even more money. Peoples viewing habits will simply change, they will gain interest in other channels and shows and by the time Viacom realizes how dumb they're being, it may be too late to change those viewing habits back.

Bad move on the part of Viacom, they will end up losing this one. Personally I can live without the majority of their channels, the only one I even watch is CC, but I'm well aware of how to find the shows online totally free.

Honestly, I'd rather DirecTv stop negotiating and stard discounting. Between Netflix and DVDs, my DD doesn't miss Nick, Jr at all.

AND, MTV, VH1, etc... became unwatchable years ago.

:(

Greedy butt-wads! One thing: I never knew how LITTLE I watched Viacom owned shows. But in principle, they are still greedy butt-wads.
